About us

‘We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us’

Winston Churchill’s view of buildings and design has never been more relevant.

While once property was merely rooms to live or work in, now it can be an experience that lifts the senses. People have opinions on properties and the elements they find inside – they see the virtue in a kitchen island or a sliding glass wall, they appreciate the benefits of an air-source heat pump and a sound system with hidden speakers.

They recognise that steel, glass, stone and timber can radically alter a property’s character – they want buildings that embrace technology yet have a timeless quality.

A wealth of platforms have opened our eyes to the opportunities – specialist magazines, television, the internet and social media have enabled us to study a world of homes from within our home.

Delivering the vision is where we step in.

“It’s important to know who you are working with, and who you are working for. Whether restoring a timber-framed building, bound together with hand-made pegs, or constructing a cutting-edge feat of engineering using the latest materials and integrated systems, we soon become absorbed in our work. We like being fully immersed”

“Perhaps I’m lucky, but I can honestly say I enjoy my job. I have followed countless projects from the basement up, and share in the satisfaction everyone feels when we leave a site knowing the customer has been handed something very special. My only regret is not owning a Weatherark home of my own.”

“Maintaining the standards Weatherark expects is one of the hardest, but also most enjoyable, elements of the job. I’m old school, but I’m learning from Nick’s eye for detail. The paperwork can be hefty, and there are always challenges in building, but it is so satisfying to see a finished project and get a sense of a job well done.”
